Oorjaa

Oorjaa is a design studio that mainly repurposes waste paper and turns it into lamps and special lighting solutions.

It is the first handmade paper studio founded by Jenny Pinto in Bangalore and its origins date back to 1998. Jenny is a designer with a passion for exploring the beauty and potential of natural materials.

Today, together with Radeesh Shetty of The Purple Turtles, they are pioneering the idea of combining waste and natural fibres. Oorjaa not only designs lighting products, but also produces with environmental responsibility awareness.
