Kingsley Metal Art is the brand of Ayodeji Kingsley, an artist born in Nigeria and living in the United Kingdom. His intense interest in art, which began in his childhood, took a professional turn with digital illustrations during his university years. Kingsley, who studied chemical engineering and environmental control, gradually combined his sensitivity to the environment with his art and began to transform waste metals into powerful and meaningful works.
Working with metal waste collected from auto repair shops, scrap yards, neighbors and friends, Ayodeji managed to add a warm spirit to these hard and cold materials over time. His works deal with animals, vehicles and everyday objects, while also dealing with deep themes such as decay, rebirth and the cycle of life.
Kingsley, who draws on surrealism, paronomasia (wordplay) and African proverbs in his art, takes art enthusiasts on a journey not only with the work but also with the artist’s mind. Each piece invites the viewer to think and transform.
